Stanstead / Glasgow return. Flight out OK on an old Fokker 100, except for cold coffee and bag of crisps for in flight service. Aircraft couldn't be started for return flight due out 18.00, no information on what was happening till 20.45. Were not given options as per Montreal aggreement put up in motel for night. No effort to find an alternative carrier or explain rights. only AB staff available was one junior who knew nothing. Got to motel 23.00, flown out 9.40 next day, no explanation or apology. Worst treatment experienced by me by any airline. Polite Email to customer service ignored.

I flew with Air Berlin to Paderborn airport in germany in summer 04. i couldn't believe that I got when I flew with Air Berlin, I got a free drink, and a free meal, I thought their may have been something that they had done wrong, but no. On the way home, the flight was delayed for 5 minutes and we got two free drinks and a free meal. It was a 737-800 coming home and had an entertaiment system, where we watched Mr Bean, I paid £25, and got every penny of it back.
I would strongly recommend this airline, but don't forget easyJet.
