I flew from east midlands airport to lanzarote in may 2007. We were due to fly at 6.20 am and didnt leave until 8.30am due to 2 members of staff calling in sick and air malta having to find replacement members to fly. The staff didnt seem to care, seemed very disinterested in what they were doing. The onflight entertainment was 2 episodes of dawsons creek. The one good point about the outbound flight was the good flight information and a visual map being displayed on the tvs which personally was better than watching dawsons creek. On the way back the flight was delayed again by two hours, this time no explanation given as to why. as this way a night flight, (which was supposed to land at 1am) we didnt land until 3.30am which was a big inconveience for my dad who was picking us up. I did save money booking this flight but i think paying an extra 30 quid to leave on time and arrive on time (with the thomas cook flight) would have been worth it.

I found Air Malta to be the best choice for traveling between London and Malta, the aircraft are mostly new airbus planes, with good seating, sure the in flight food is not that good but comes with a free glass of wine, so can easily cope with that, added in the last year or so, in flight movies at no extra charge on flights between London and Malta, cabin crew do tend to be a little cool but never rude, all in all for the price they provide a good service so long as you bank on a 2 hour flight delay each way.

This is a good airline. Its small but a good way to get to Malta. Staff is for the most friendly. Re booking is easy and flexible. Food not very good but i dont consider it important. I noticed a review which referred to a flight from Bristol to Cyprus and i believe this lady was not reviewing airmalta but another airline....

Flew from Bristol to Cyprus in June. There was no Radio, No TV no entertainment at all. Food Awful, even had the same meal 1 week later. Seat fabric was all frayed. Rubbish in seat pocket, NO magazine. Chewing Gum wedged in the arm tray. Doors were jammed, had to wait a further 30minutes to get off. Staff were rude when asked them to take rubbish away. Never Again

Have flown AM five times between LHR and Valletta. "First' Class is not much better than coach, slightly more space. The aircraft was dirty on all but one of the flights. Food was acceptable, average. Service varied. On some flights the FAs were attentive and fun. But generally they tended to ignore the passengers when possible. Not rude so much as disinterested. Ground staff were good at both airports. BAs BMG is a much better operation - new planes, good staff.
